Pocono Mountain has a student population of more than 8,800
and expects to add another 3,000 by the year 2000. This
district includes seven elementary centers, an intermediate
school, a junior high and a senior high school. Outstanding
staff members at Pocono Mountain have achieved state recognition
as " Teacher
of the Year," " Counselor of the year " and " Principal
of the year." The Pocono Mountain School District
is expanding continuously, and new programs, such as peer
counseling and D.A.R.E., are frequently added to help students
achieve success.
